Took the dogs when we went out Ordered and took an outside seat My friend Valerie happened by You never know who you will meet She took one look at our little mutt Said “She’s a pure bred don’t you know” Had no idea - she’s a shelter dog Thought she was just some so and so Said she’d once had one just like her Her mottled hair all in a tussle Turns out she’s more than a rescue dog She’s an authentic Rough Coat Jack Russell So I Googled Rough Coat Jack Russells And Valerie was right as rain Feel like we didn’t give her her due respect Turns out our sweet Opal is no Plain Jane .
