Horsing Around

The Kentucky Derby’s May 3rd date 
Brought this thought to my mind’s gate 
To make a long-shot story shorter 
I’ve wondered long about this quarter 
To figure out the equine breed 
That’s posing as this fenced-in steed 
There is an answer that will Win 
Will Place it where it’s always been 
And Show that what we have, of course 
That makes most cents, a Quarter Horse . . .
