So, a lot of old guys like me have prostate cancer Of course, not so many have stage four But that’s what I had When they opened up that door How many can say they have bladder cancer as well? Have had it for just as long Lucky for me it has been treatable Removed growths in the past when they found something wrong So yesterday was my annual appointment To visit my doc at Austin Urology Took a dive down into my inner depths Watched it all on a screen for that Cystoscopy A procedure I won’t describe here in detail You know where to go if you want to know But suffice it to say it’s an uncomfortable sensation But always do my best and just go with the flow The bottom line is he found no sign of cancer Everything looked normal he said Every year when you go in for this ordeal You never know if he’ll find something we dread No operation this time To remove and biopsy a growth Cleared for another year Before I go back under that scope . . .
Donald Trump’s advice almost convinced me to forego this year’s test to see whether or not my bladder cancer has returned. I mean, really, if they just never tested for stuff like cancer, just think how many fewer cases we would have. As much as I dislike the procedure, I went ahead anyway since I already had the appointment. Of course he was talking about Covid. Makes total sense in either case, right?
Glad you're good to go, Ned.
As for Trumpian advice: can our head-shaking ever stop?
Good news!
Well, not the last part. 🤦♀️
