Birding and Nerding

When you go birding with your friends
You’re kind of nerding
But with good ends
Get out and move about a lot
And sort of prove
Without much thought
That it is good to get away
Out of your hood
For just a day
And do some nerding with your friends
The kind of birding
That extends
Your mind a bit and frees your soul
You walk or sit
Take in the whole
Around you‘re going through your day
Knowing it’s good to migrate out
And let your cares just fly away . . .
